My love of learning

I love learning. I love discovering new ideas, new ways of approaching issues and furthering my professional knowledge. I work with children and yesterday I went to a professional development session about ‘Developing a child-focused curriculum’. It was great! I came out of it feeling motivated and inspired. I couldn’t wait to start planning. Now,…

Honeymoon Day Five and Six

We are home, and although we loved every minute of our honeymoon, it’s so good to be back in our house, with our own bed and as Luke said, our own toilet. Yesterday was our biggest day with a 7 hour tour of jet boating, snorkelling, Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet. You just can’t fathom…

Honeymoon Day Four

Yesterday we had a super lazy day and didn’t really do anything until dinner. For dinner, we headed to Northelies Bar and Grill. It’s a bit north of Airlie Beach and a bit more on the expensive side but the views (and company – haha!) were worth it!

Honeymoon Day Three

We had a lazy day by the lagoon yesterday and came home a little pink but that’s not from lack of trying. We lathered on sunscreen and put on our hats and sunnies for most of the day. We reapplied sunscreen after lunch (a not so great lunch, might I add) too. Our biggest problem…

Honeymoon Day Two

We had a big day yesterday so it was only fitting that we had a BBQ breakfast with all the trimmings to start off the day! We lazed around for most of the morning before we headed out for our first tour, a Turtle Tour which was gifted to us at Christmas from my sister….

Honeymoon Day One

Yesterday saw us start the day off with a lazy lie-in and left over pizza for breakfast. We then decided it was time to grab some proper food from the shops and we couldn’t forget the most important thing… Wine. Luke set up a lovely antipasto plate for lunch with cold meats, cheese, crackers, olives…

Honeymoon Part 1 – Accommodation

I thought I would share a few snaps of our accommodation on our honeymoon. We chose (I chose, he approved) to stay in an Air BnB in Cannonvale – the next suburb over from Airlie Beach. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to Airlie Beach and about a 10 minute ride because we were…

Engagement Shoot – December 2018

With only three months to go before our wedding, we had our Engagement Shoot on Bribie Island at the start of December. It looked like it was going to rain, but the rain held off for the whole shoot and we even got a bit of sunshine towards the end. Here are some of my…
