It’s currently raining again, so today I have enjoyed snuggling on the couch watching Suits, doing housework and getting fruit and veg. Normally I’m not this lazy on a Sunday, but I woke up feeling a little bit seedy after my sister’s birthday celebrations last night. Yesterday was my sister’s 19th birthday and we went to Quan Tanh for dinner to celebrate, then continued onto Milany (on Racecourse Road, Hamilton) for the BEST gelato I’ve ever tasted. Today’s post is going to be about my sister and I. Learning a bit about us and what we are like. Keep an eye out for the
wonderful, yet slightly cringe-worthy photos. Enjoy!
What is your favourite memory together?
Ash: As we got older and were able to drive ourselves, whenever Mum and Dad went on holidays we’d always have a girls day where we went to the shops, had lunch and sometimes got a pedicure. We used to fight a lot when we were younger but on our girls day we never did.
Caitie: Climbing Grandma’s tree in her old front yard when we were kids.
Describe each other in one word.
Ash: Crazy. (but in the best way)
What is your dream job?
Ash: Writing/communication/blogging/social media/childcare.
Caitie: Still not sure.
What is something that annoys you about your sister?
Ash: She is always the last one to be ready, but her makeup is always better than mine.
Caitie: She talks too much.
If you could go anywhere in the world together, where would it be and why?
Ash: Travelling around Europe. I’ve always wanted to explore Europe (I don’t know how well that would go down now with the whole no carb thing) because it’s so rich in culture, so many amazing places to eat and you can see so many countries in the one place.
Caitie: Europe. We have family that live over there and all the good food.
Who takes longer to get ready?
Ash: Caitie. 100%.
Heels or flats?
Ash: Heels, even though they are terrible for my feet.
Pants or dresses?
What do you like best about your sister?
Ash: She is such a hard worker. Since she has started at her new job she’s just been moving up and up and she’s already on her way to furthering her career by studying. I’m so proud of her, and she does amazing make up.
Caitie: She helps me out a lot.
Where do you see your sister in 5, 10 and 15 years?
Ash: 5 years: Working in a big company in a high-up position. 10 years: Married. 15 years: Being the rich Aunty to my kids.
Caitie: 5 years: Married. 10 years: Kids. 15 years: Have a house and a career in Early Childhood.
Do you believe in star signs and think they are accurate to your personality?
Ash: Absolutely yes.
What is your favourite TV show?
Ash: Orange is the New Black. Season 4 just came out, come on!
Caitie: Orange is the New Black.
Grab the nearest book to you, turn to page 18 and find sentence number 4. What does it say?
Ash: “Certainly, Sir; – and it has the advantage of also being in vogue amongst the less polished societies of the world, – every savage can dance.” (Pride and Prejudice – Jane Austen)
Caitie: “Talk to them in their sleep to influence their thoughts.” (Selp Helf – Miranda Sings)
Who was the last person you texted?

Caitie: Just keep swimming.
And no, we did not plan that last one!
So there you have it! My sister and I may look similar, but we have completely opposite personalities. Caitie, I hope you had a wonderful birthday yesterday and I love you so, so much!
Yesterday I created an Instagram account @_thebearandme and a Facebook page for The Bear and Me. I would absolutely appreciate it if you could all go ‘Like’ and ‘Share’ these accounts. I’ll be updating and posting on them regularly, and I may post little things on there that I don’t put in my blog.
Thank you all for your amazing support! Stay safe.
